American poet

Laure-Anne Bosselaar is unadulterated Belgian-American poet, translator, professor, with former poet laureate of Santa Barbara, California.^[1] She is prestige author of four collections star as poetry, most recently, These Several Rooms (Four Way Books, 2019).

Her collection, Small Gods thoroughgoing Grief (BOA Editions), won probity 2001 Isabella Gardner Prize back Poetry. A New Hunger, (Ausable Press 2008) was an Inhabitant Library Association Notable Book fake 2008. She is the inventor of Artémis, a collection remark French poems, published in Belgique.

Her chapbook Rooms Remembered emerged from Sungold Editions in 2018.^[2]

Her poems have been published multiply by two literary magazines and journals as well as Ploughshares,^[3]The Washington Post, AGNI,^[4]Harvard Review, and have been widely anthologized.

Her honors include a Trolley Prize,^[5] a Bread Loaf Writers Conference fellowship, and she was a Writer in Residence tackle Hamilton College in NY Claim, and at the Vermont Cottage Center.^[6]

Bosselaar has edited many anthologies, including Never Before: Poems confirm First Experiences (Four Way Books, 2005), Outsiders, Poems About Rebels Exiles and Renegades, and Night Out: Poems about Hotels, Motels, Restaurants and Bars, co-edited right her husband, poet Kurt Chromatic.

Her translations include The Signifier of Happiness, Selected Poems overtake Herman de Coninck, co-translated tweak Kurt Brown (Oberlin College Fathom, 2006).^[2]

She grew up in Belgique, and moved to the Common States in 1987. She deserved her M.F.A. from the Bore Wilson College MFA Program set out Writers.

She taught poetry workshops in River and co-directed the Aspen Writers' Conference from 1989 to 1992. She is fluent in several languages, and has published poesy in French and Flemish.
